We would like to welcome you to the world of the Braque du Bourbonnais. In the following pages we hope to offer as much information as possible about our personal hunting dogs and our passion. To help you decide if the Braque du Bourbonnais is the right dog for you.
Since discovering the Bourbonnais it has been our direction to learn as much as possible about them. Their past and their present, so we can formulate a program to take them into the future.
Our focus is on establishing the Braque du Bourbonnais as a proficient upland bird dog, pointing and retrieving.
We are avid grouse and woodcock hunters,our dogs have proven themselves with the desire and self-confidence to hunt and find birds in that type cover.

Aspen Ridge is proud to be an “Approved Kennel” of the Braque du Bourbonnais Club of America. Pledging to adhere to the BdBCA “Purpose of the Club” “General Membership” requirements, “Hunt tests and Breeding Recommendations” and the “Code of Ethic”
What this means is we agreed to adhere to the minimum standards set by the club.
However our commitment to the health and well being of the Bourbonnais, far exceeds the minimum requirements. Ethical breeding practices should to be followed in any breed. But with a breed so young and still in the recreation stage, like the Bourbonnais, it is imperative.
