The Braque du Bourbonnais is a rare find in the United States and still is considered rare in France. Well suited for life as a home companion, as well as being a passionate hunter. A soft dog by nature they are eager to please.

Our commitment is to help establish the Braque du Bourbonnais in the United States as an upland bird dog. The Bourbonnais is a “Continental” breed and is listed as a “Versatile” hunting dog; we have chosen them to hunt Grouse and Woodcock. Each one of our dogs has proven themselves with the desire and the self-confidence needed to hunt and find our birds of choice.

Aspen Ridge Kennels along with Elk Run Kennels and Piney Run Kennel, work TOGETHER. Although our birds of choice may be different, we have the same goal: A total commitment to improve the natural hunting abilities of the Braque du Bourbonnais. We will only participate in a breeding, knowing with complete confidence that the results will improve these hunting abilities.
